Museum Ambassador/Docents: Ensure a great visitor experience. Help visitors with wayfinding, and answer questions. Collect visitor feedback and take photos. Meet people from around the world!
Administrative Support: Prepare mass mailings, file, assist with inventory, and carry out other office tasks. This work is a huge help.
Events Support: Keep our many events running smoothly—setup and tear-down, decorating, serving food and drinks, giving talks, helping with kids’ events, and more. Or serve on a planning committee!
Facilities Upkeep: Help keep this large museum looking nice! Polish exhibit cases, vacuum, maintain the lawn and flowers, shovel snow, and more.
Behind the Scenes: Help us create a timeline of museum events, digital media scrapbooks, fun facts for social media, and more. Research newsletters, newspapers, and other sources.

Over the years, Fred Mark has helped with the museum’s website, created videos for the Matchless Mine exhibits, led children's activities, and served at our various fundraising events. Fred enjoys contributing and sharing his love of mining history.

Our operations and growth depend entirely on contributions, memberships, tickets, and gift shop sales. While we are a federally chartered non-profit, we receive no regular support from local, state, or national governmental agencies.
